Network Engineer Level 3

Five plus years experience providing operational support in a large campus LAN/MAN environment and in-depth knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, Content Service Switches, Wireless Access Points is a must.

  1. Experience performing packet capture and analysis to diagnose and fix network issues, including protocol analysis support for other technology groups such as Exchange, UNIX, NT, and Data Protection. 
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of packet analysis ability, specifically, the use of Network General Sniffer Pro and Ethereal software tools. 
  3. Must be able to analyze and recommend solutions based upon client requirements and adherence to standards. 
  4. Perform problem determination, resolution, and testing of LAN/WAN/Wireless environments.
  5. Operation and management of Cisco ACS for TACACS and Radius required.
  6.  Demonstrated ability to work with vendor support and manage problems through to resolution.  
  7. Experience implementing Cisco hardware and IOS upgrades including Cisco Content Switches (CSS).  
  8. Candidates should have experience with configuration management and formal documentation procedures, to include change management process in a regulated environment.
  9. Experience with design, implementation and testing of LAN/WAN technologies including IP telephony, wireless networking, TCP/IP, and security protocols needed.
  10.   Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work alone or within a team environment.   
  11. Familiarity with Perigrene Service Center for trouble ticketing and tracking beneficial.
  12.   Organizational "Fit" Considerations: The successful candidate must be flexible with the ability to work as part of a Global team or individually. 
  13. On-Call duties are required. 
  14. CCIE preferred, CCNP required.
